One of the things we brought along in 2006 were beads. The months before we also had flyer's up in the Netherlands in many different elderly homes, churches and companies, asking for old necklaces with beads. This to re-use the beads in making "new" necklaces and bracelets together with the children. We got many supplies.
It was the second time that we went back when I started making bracelets and necklaces with the children. I brought them back and they were sold. I had to make many more of these myself. The money went back into the school funding account for the children. Most of material used was donated.
Your purchase will help go along in their dreams, provide education and will make little hearts and souls blossom!
For the jewelry we use hennep rope and glass and/or wood beads. Many color combinations are possible.
We would love to see a project like this grow more, as we like the fact that the children themselves can help out in a playful way with getting money raised for the schooling project. We are currently working on setting up an etsy shop where these can be sold. Until then we can always take custom orders.
