So often I think that Ayanna looks a lot like Josiah. However, after seeing the photo above (of you as a child with your parents), wow - I can see so much more similarity between you and Ayanna - and you as an adult now and your mom! Thank you for sharing more about your culture and memories of your childhood. I am so enjoying your blog, pictures and stories. You are an excellent story-teller!

Hi there - thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm delighted to read yours. One of my best friends is Dutch (she is going to University in Tilburg), and so my time with her and her wonderful family has caused me to reserve a sweet place in my heart for all things Dutch. Lately I've been finding many vintage Dutch items at our local thrift store, and I've been filling our home with them. It it my hope to celebrate Sinterklaas day this year with my children (I even found a pair of old, decorative, wooden Dutch shoes to use). I love your photos of your Sinterklaas day memories! So happy to have found your blog!

Jullie leven in NY?? Zaaaaaalig!
