Early morning, a new day and I could not sleep any longer! Today my parents are 35 years (!!) married and they are now in the plane on their way to us. For a lovely two week visit.
I love looking at my parents photos of "the older days". Unfortunately this is the only wedding photo I have of them, but isn't it so sweet?
They walked into church on "Morning Has Broken" by Cat Stevens
Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for the springing fresh from the word
Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dewfall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass
Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God's recreation of the new day
Just beautiful~ I thought of using the same song for our wedding, but did not want to "steal" their song.
Pap and mam I hope you have a good flight here and I pray the years to come together will be plenty and filled with lots of love, family and good health! We will celebrate when you are here tonight.
~This is another photo I love of them when they were younger and so in love clearly.~
I submitted this one to the blog My Parents Are Awesome, but I have never seen it on the site, unfortunately. Many photos come on daily, I should check again to make sure I did not just miss it! This blog is really nice showing many many great photos from parents in the past.
~And then this last photo of the two of them before me. I am in the belly on this one. The expectant parents.~
Happy belated mother's day too, mama, you are the most caring and loving mama I know. A hug and kiss are waiting at the airport.
I hope all of you had a mother's day that was simple and sweet.
Mine started off with tons of hugs and kisses from my little girl and some kicking in my belly, follwed by a breakfast of fresh juice, croissants with nutella and strawberries , a lovely painting and a little gift.
The best gift is to be a mother!
~Two pages of Ayanna's babybook, when being a mama was all so new to me. Those first VERY special moments~
I love being a mama, I feel SO blessed to be able to call myself Ayanna's mama (mamaayanna) and evenly blessed to be soon the mother of another child. To love them, care for them and watch them and help them grow each little step into who they are supposed to be is just amazing!
Last friday our "Day Of Play" was on Little Lovely. It was so much fun to document the day and realize even more so how many fun moments there are in one simple day.
Today I see my parents, more special moments to enjoy!
